Accessibility Consulting That Gives Straight Answers in Writing

For the owner or product lead with a question a scanner cannot answer. Is this vendor's claim real, which of these fixes matter, what does this contract clause commit us to?

What We Keep Finding

The consulting industry has a business model and it is the meter. Somebody billing by the hour has no reason to give you the short answer, and chances are pretty good you have sat through a call that could have been a paragraph. We sell the paragraph.

So our consulting is written first. Send the question, get back a plain-English answer with the evidence attached, from the same people who run the audits. WCAG interpretation, an ADA question, two scanner reports that disagree, a vendor's conformance report that smells optimistic. Ask, and we will answer it or tell you honestly that it needs testing before anyone could answer it.

There is one thing we will never answer with, and it is worth saying at the top rather than at the bottom. We do not sell the building or the fixing, so no answer we send you can turn into a quote for work we happen to be selling. When the honest reply is that your team should go and change three components, that is the whole reply, and the next thing you hear from us is nothing.

That last example above is the one we get most, and it is worth knowing why an optimistic conformance report is so easy to write. The template's own definitions are looser than the words look. Supports allows for a product that meets the criterion by working a different way, which is a legitimate answer and also a wide door. And Does Not Support is defined as the majority of the functionality failing, which is why almost nobody ever writes it down. So a wall of green is not proof of anything, and reading one properly is a real job rather than a formality.

One thing about written advice that nobody tells you. It has a shelf life. The standard gets republished, defined terms change underneath criteria that did not change, and an answer that was right in March can be stale by the autumn. So every answer we send carries the date it was true on, and if you are about to act on an old one, ask us again. It is free to ask.

What We Check

  • Answer WCAG and ADA questions in plain English, with the rule numbers included
  • Read vendor claims, conformance reports and proposals against what the template actually requires
  • Rank an existing fix list by user impact, so your sprint starts in the right place
  • Gut-check designs and prototypes before the build locks them in
  • Put every answer in writing you can forward to a developer, a boss, or a buyer

What You Get

Written answers with the reasoning showing. The rule, what it actually requires, what we would do about it, roughly what it takes, and the date the answer was true on. Where a question genuinely needs testing to answer honestly, we say so and quote the audit rather than padding hours onto a guess.

You keep everything and you can forward it to anyone. There is no seat licence, no portal, and no subscription to cancel. Consulting that ends is the point.

The Honest Limit

One honest limit. We are accessibility people, not lawyers. We will tell you what the standard requires and what the evidence shows, and the moment a question turns legal we will say that one's for your counsel instead of winging it in an email you might rely on. Our law guides are orientation, not advice, and they say so on every page.

What It Costs

Start free. Send the question and get a reply within one business day at no cost, which is where most of these end. If it turns out to need real hours, you approve a written quote first, scoped to that question, with no retainer and no minimum. What we will never quote you is the fixing, because we do not sell it, so an answer cannot become a project. And when the honest answer is run the audit, that is flat-rate at $499 Rapid or $1,499 Standard.
