Web Accessibility Guidelines 110.07 (Taiwan)

What the law is

W3C's policy register lists the Web Accessibility Guidelines (110.07) with a 2021 date, described as a WCAG 2.1 derivative. Derivative matters: it is Taiwan's own document, adapted, rather than WCAG adopted whole.

Because it is a derivative, a conformance claim against WCAG alone is not automatically a claim against the Taiwanese guidelines. The overlap is large and the wording is not identical.

This applies to you if…

• You run a Taiwanese government website or supply one.
• You sell into Taiwan and a procurement process asks you to evidence accessibility, which is where these guidelines usually surface.

What it technically requires

• Conformance to the guidelines, which derive from WCAG 2.1. An audit against WCAG 2.2 A and AA covers the underlying criteria and gives you the evidence to map across.
• Where a Taiwanese process asks specifically for 110.07, expect to map your findings onto their document rather than hand over a WCAG report and call it done.
