A Financial Services Audit Asks Whether Money Works by Ear

For the bank, credit union, insurer, or fintech that wants every customer to log in, move money, and read their own statements without borrowing somebody else's eyes.

What We Keep Finding

Think about what your product asks of a customer who cannot see the screen. Log in, then clear a two-factor step built as six separate boxes that refuse a paste. Read a balance drawn as a chart. Move money through a form where one mistake on step four starts the whole thing again. Download a statement that turns out to be an untagged PDF. The six-box code is worth singling out, because W3C publishes it as a named failure rather than as a matter of taste. The British habit of asking for the third and fifth character of a password is the other worked example on the same page.

Privacy is what makes finance different from a shopping site. A customer who cannot use your service independently has to hand their money to somebody else's eyes, and that cost never shows up in a funnel report. There is a legal layer over part of this audience too. The European Accessibility Act has applied since June 28, 2025 and consumer banking services are on its list. Insurance is not on that list, so an insurer selling in the EU is caught, if at all, as e-commerce rather than as an insurer.

What We Check

  • Complete login and two-factor with a screen reader, paste behavior included
  • Run the core money journeys, so balances, transfers, payments, and alerts
  • Test charts and calculators for a non-visual route to the same numbers
  • Audit statements and policy documents, the untagged-PDF hotspot
  • Check session timeouts against slow, careful, assisted entry

What You Get

Every service on this site runs the same three-pass engine: an automated scan, an expert review of all 55 WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules, and a hands-on session with a professional blind screen-reader user. You get one report with every finding screenshotted, ranked by user impact, and linked to its fix. Your team fixes, we verify: the re-audit is half price within 3 months.

The format is not a mystery either. Read the sample report before you spend anything.

The Honest Limit

One honest limit. We test in your staging or sandbox environment with the test accounts you provide, so the expert and screen-reader passes run there in full. The automated pass needs a public host on a standard port, so on a locked-down staging box it runs against production instead and the report says so. We never touch real customer money or data, which also means production-only quirks need a staging mirror before we can catch them.

What It Costs

Rapid Audit: $499, up to 10 pages you pick, report in 5 business days. Standard Audit: $1,499, up to 25 pages in 10 business days. Flat rates, no discovery calls, and a real blind screen-reader user on every engagement. Pick your pages. We bring the humans.
