Somebody Told You They Could not Use Your Site
For the owner who has just heard from a person who could not use their site, and who wants to answer with a real fix rather than a form reply.
What We Keep Finding
Start with what actually happened. Somebody hit a wall on your site and, instead of leaving quietly, took the time to tell you about it. Most people just leave. The message in your inbox is a favor, and the way to honor a favor is to act on it.
There is a good chance no scanner ever flagged what they hit, and the reason is structural rather than a matter of buying a better scanner. On our own grading, 10 of the 356 W3C techniques and failures we graded can be settled by a machine outright. Worse, whole guidelines have no approved automated test rule at all. The one covering labels, error identification, error suggestion and error prevention is one of them, and that is precisely where the error message that never gets spoken lives. Add the button that announces nothing and the focus that vanishes into a modal, and you have the three complaints people actually send, none of which a scan is going to raise on its own.
So finding it takes a person, and it takes one who works this way every day rather than one closing their eyes for ten minutes. We reproduce the barrier described, then audit the journey around it, because a complaint is usually the one point where somebody gave up rather than the only place they struggled.
What We Check
- Reproduce the barrier your user described, on a desktop screen reader
- Audit the whole journey around it, not only the element they named
- Map the barrier to the exact rule it breaks and the fix that clears it
- Rank whatever else we find by user impact, so your team fixes in order
- Re-check the fixes when your team ships, at half price within 3 months
What You Get
Every service on this site runs the same three-pass engine: an automated scan, an expert review of all 55 WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules, and a hands-on session with a professional blind screen-reader user. You get one report with every finding screenshotted, ranked by user impact, and linked to its fix. Your team fixes, we verify: the re-audit is half price within 3 months.
The format is not a mystery either. Read the sample report before you spend anything.
The Honest Limit
One honest limit, and on this page it matters more than usual. Our testing is desktop-based, in a browser, on one screen reader pairing per audit. If your user was on a phone, and most screen reader users are, we can reproduce the same barrier at the desktop wherever it lives in the same markup. What we cannot reproduce is a failure that only happens in mobile VoiceOver or TalkBack. Send us the message they sent you before you order. If it reads as a mobile-only problem, we will tell you that rather than take the job and write the wrong report.
What It Costs
Rapid Audit: $499, up to 10 pages you pick, report in 5 business days. Standard Audit: $1,499, up to 25 pages in 10 business days. Flat rates, no discovery calls, and a real blind screen-reader user on every engagement. Pick your pages. We bring the humans.
