Price the Accessibility Debt Before the Deal Closes
For the acquirer or the seller who wants the target website's accessibility debt measured before the deal closes rather than discovered afterward.
What We Keep Finding
Due diligence prices what it can see. Code quality gets reviewed, contracts get read, and the website's accessibility debt usually gets nothing, because nobody on the deal team knows how to measure it. It behaves like any other technical debt. Real, inherited in full at close, and invisible until somebody counts it.
An audit counts it. All 55 WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules, run against the target's actual templates and revenue journeys, produce a finding list in order of severity. The split that matters to a deal team is template against content, because they cost differently. A template failure is one fix that clears a thousand pages. A content failure is a thousand small fixes, or a policy change and a backlog. Two lists of the same length can be a week apart or a quarter apart, and only that split tells you which one you are buying.
One thing this report deliberately is not, because a deal file will be read as though it were. It is a sample. Conformance in the standard is defined for a web page rather than for a site, and W3C's own evaluation method says a sample cannot support a conformance claim for a whole website. So the document says which pages were tested and on what date. Read it as a measured, evidenced core sample of the estate rather than as a clean bill for the whole of it.
What We Check
- Audit the target site against all 55 WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules
- Split template-level failures from page-level ones, because they cost differently
- Test the revenue journeys with real screen-reader users, checkout included
- Document every finding with dated screenshots, in a form a deal file can hold
- Rank the debt by user impact, so the remediation list arrives in order
What You Get
Every service on this site runs the same three-pass engine: an automated scan, an expert review of all 55 WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules, and a hands-on session with a professional blind screen-reader user. You get one report with every finding screenshotted, ranked by user impact, and linked to its fix. Your team fixes, we verify: the re-audit is half price within 3 months.
The format is not a mystery either. Read the sample report before you spend anything.
The Honest Limit
One honest limit and one thing we need from you first. The limit is that we report the debt and we do not price it in dollars. Your integration team knows its own rates and its own roadmap, and what the report gives them is the complete, ordered work list to put those rates against. The thing we need first is permission. We only test a site the customer owns or is authorized to have tested, which is straightforward on a sell-side engagement and on a buy-side one usually means the diligence agreement has to say so. Sort that before you order and nothing about the timetable slips.
What It Costs
Rapid Audit: $499, up to 10 pages you pick, report in 5 business days. Standard Audit: $1,499, up to 25 pages in 10 business days. Flat rates, no discovery calls, and a real blind screen-reader user on every engagement. Pick your pages. We bring the humans.
