Accessibility Statement Preparation Makes Claims Your Audit Can Back
For the owner who wants a public accessibility statement that is actually true, because the people who read these things read them against the site.
What We Keep Finding
Our free generator will draft you an accessibility statement in about five minutes, and as a starting point we stand by it. But a statement is a public claim about your own website, and the people who go looking for one are checking it. "We are committed to accessibility" with nothing underneath is not a statement. It is a wish, published.
There is a published shape for this, and most statements stop two blocks short of the end of it. The European model statement runs to seven parts. A commitment naming the law you are answering to. The scope. The compliance status. The non-accessible content, sorted into three named categories with the alternative for each. The preparation details, including the method used and the date it was last reviewed. A feedback route with a real contact behind it. And an enforcement procedure, naming the enforcement body and how to reach it. That last part is the one nearly every statement drops, our own generator included, and it is the part that tells a user what to do when your feedback route goes quiet.
Worth knowing which law you are actually following, because the two get mixed up constantly. The seven-part model belongs to the European web accessibility directive, which binds public-sector bodies. The European Accessibility Act, in force since 28 June 2025, is the private-sector one, and it publishes no template of its own. So a private company that shapes its statement to the public model is using the best format anybody has written down rather than obeying a rule that binds it. We say which of those you are doing, in the statement, so nobody has to guess later.
And if you claim conformance anywhere in it, that claim has five required parts under the standard. The date. The guidelines, their version, and their address. The level. A description of which pages are covered, including whether subdomains are in. And the list of technologies your pages rely on. A claim missing two of those is a claim the person checking will notice is missing two of those. Ours carries all five, or it does not claim conformance at all.
What We Check
- Ground every claim in the audit, with the test dates and the tested scope named
- State your conformance status plainly, so what meets AA today and what does not yet
- List the known barriers, which is the part boilerplate statements always skip
- Sort non-accessible content into the three categories the European model names, with the alternative for each
- Write the feedback route and the enforcement route, both with a real contact behind them
- Add a partial-conformance statement where third-party content sits outside your control, which is what the standard asks for
What You Get
Every service on this site runs the same three-pass engine: an automated scan, an expert review of all 55 WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules, and a hands-on session with a professional blind screen-reader user. You get one report with every finding screenshotted, ranked by user impact, and linked to its fix. Your team fixes, we verify: the re-audit is half price within 3 months.
The format is not a mystery either. Read the sample report before you spend anything.
The Honest Limit
One honest limit. The generator stays free and always will, and this version costs money only because a real audit stands behind every line in it. It is priced per site on top of that audit, and it inherits the audit's scope, so the status it states covers the pages we tested rather than your whole website. That is not us being careful with your money. It is that nobody can state a conformance status for pages nobody opened. Email us your URL and the figure arrives by reply.
What It Costs
Rapid Audit: $499, up to 10 pages you pick, report in 5 business days. Standard Audit: $1,499, up to 25 pages in 10 business days. Flat rates, no discovery calls, and a real blind screen-reader user on every engagement. Pick your pages. We bring the humans.
